in my ongoing love of bombast, here's rachel maddow explaining why guantanamo and the torture memos are so damaging to us. Long story short: their existence severely compromises our ability to appeal for proper treatment of our own citizens, or POWs, or anyone who comes in harm's way while outside of US borders.
